BRADLEY
- Elliott Ira Sidelinker, 89, died July 9, 2012, at a Bangor hospital.
He was born June 18, 1923, in Veazie, son of Osgood Fifield and Ada
Leslie (Mitchell) Sidelinker. Elliott was in the Army Air Corps West
Coast Defense during World War II, and still corresponded with several
of his old Army buddies, including Dennis "Shady" Layne and Lester
Tingle. He was employed as a lube technician with Beacon Motor Co. for
more than 35 years. Elliott was a member of Bradley Baptist Church since
1970 and served several years as trustee. He also attended Pentecostal
Assembly - Glad Tidings Church and Essex Street Baptist Church, Bangor.
He was an American Red Cross donor for many years, giving 15 gallons of
blood. Elliott was a carpenter in his spare time and several pieces of
furniture he built are still being used. He was a member of American
Legion for 62 years. Elliott had a great sense of humor and was well
loved by all who knew him, even those who had just met him. "He'd give
the shirt off his back even if he didn't have one." Elliott was
predeceased by his parents; and brothers and sisters, Ethel Noreen

memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Bradley Baptist
